Through the years I have written about architecture, design, food, gardens and culture in general for various German magazines, among them Architektur & Wohnen, Der Feinschmecker, Geo, Geo Saison, Madame, Elle, Elle Decoration. I am also the author of travel guides for Polyglott Publishers and the Motoring Association ADAC.

 

Originally from Aachen (best known as royal residence of Charlemagne) I live in London since 1975. I love my adopted home for its deep-seated love of tradition and history, that all-pervasive sense of humour, the distaste for extremes and the tendency to improvise – a very British blend.
